Better Captain runs entirely on your Apple Watch. It does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data.
Location
Used only while a sail or anchor watch is running, to compute speed, course, man overboard guidance and anchor distance. It stays on the watch and is not sent anywhere.
Health and workout
A sailing workout session keeps GPS active with the wrist down. The workout is discarded by default; the app does not read your health data.
Stored on the watch
Your settings, the most recent man overboard mark and the anchor position, kept so they survive a restart. Deleting the app removes them.
Nothing else
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no network requests.
Better Captain is a navigation aid and does not replace approved safety procedures or equipment.
